Nicola Roberts, Senior Accounts Technician at Admiral Yacht Insurance, was one of 24 young insurance professionals selected to participate in The Managing General Agent Association’s (MGAA) very first ‘learning day’ held at Lloyd’s in London on 18th March 2015.
The intensive one-day learning and development programme was arranged by Lloyd’s Global Development Centre, together with the MGAA, a non-profit organisation representing UK managing general agents, for 24 of its up-and-coming young members. By offering an environment of knowledge and understanding, the day was designed to encourage new and innovative ideas.
Following welcomes from Reg Brown, Chairman of the MGAA and Cameron Murray, Head of UK, Ireland, Middle East & Africa, Lloyd’s, the programme kicked off with an overview of Lloyd’s and the London Market and focus sessions on Insurance Claims, Lloyd’s Market Association, Delegated Authorities at Lloyd’s, Risk Management and Emerging Risks. The day included a tour of the Lloyd’s Building and a lunch hosted by Lloyd’s CEO Inga Beale.
