Bob Samuels, our Claims Manager at Admiral Yacht Insurance, recently enjoyed a day’s sailing in the Solent on Blue Box Sailing’s Clipper 60 yacht “Taeping”. This family arranged birthday treat gave Bob the chance to handle again a large wheel rather than the tiller on his Shrimper.
“We were blessed with a stiff breeze and sunshine for a very enjoyable day with splendid sailing on a magnificent yacht. Pleasant company too, with some of the crew visiting from Australia and New Zealand. We came ashore smiling and tired but full of respect for those who had campaigned the Clipper 60s in the Southern Ocean with hard winch work. “Taeping” had completed four circumnavigations in the races, and her ten knot bursts off Cowes with two reefs in showed she was still game. Thanks to Blue Box for a great day’s sailing.”
